AnimeJapan — the world’s biggest anime event, has announced the official dates of its 2019 edition. AnimeJapan 2019 will take place from the 23rd to the 29th of March 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight. The official theme has also been announced: “rock”! To hype up the theme, a rock-inspired cosplayer area will be put up, as well as rock-theme official merchandise to be offered for sale.
Besides the new theme, another highlight of AnimeJapan 2019 is a new project where fans can vote for the next manga series to receive an animated adaptation. The “Anime-ka shite Hoshii Manga Ranking” (“I Want this Manga to have an Anime Rankings”) will be accepting nominations for the entire month of October. After an initial screening of nominated titles, the actual voting will be held at AnimeJapan 2019. Stay tuned for more updates very soon!
