“Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” (“Koutetsujou no Kabaneri”) has finally announced a release window for its upcoming threatrical adaptation! Officially titled “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato“, the film covers Mumei’s life after the events in the TV series. Main castmembers Tasuku Hatanaka, Sayaka Senbongi, Maaya Uchida, and Toshiki Masuda will be reprising their roles.
“Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” is an original anime series produced by Wit Studio, directed by Tetsuro Araki (“Guilty Crown”), written by Ichiro Okouchi (“Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”), with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano (“Attack on Titan”), and character designs by Haruhiko Minimoto (“The Super Dimension Fortress Macross”).
