Revolutionary Girl Utena director, Kunihiko Ikuhara is back with a new anime project, and its title is Sarazanmai. And now, they’ve revealed a brand new PV, which announces its April 2019 debut. They also revealed that it will be part of Fuji TV’s famous anime programming bloc, Noitamina.

The new PV is just the first of five “linked promotional videos” for the upcoming anime. This first video talks about “connections” as the narrator wonders why nobody’s connected with him. The anime itself will have an original story, which they credited to someone named “Ikunirappa”. Hmmmm, that sounds familiar. And did we mention Ikuhara is directing this anime?

Mappa is producing the animation, alongside Lapin Track, which also produced Ikuhara’s previous anime, Yuri Kuma Arashi. Meanwhile, Migi, who will be handling the original character designs for the anime, has revealed a new illustration two of the anime’s most important main characters. They’re Reo and Mabo, and they’re pretty important to the show’s plot.
