“The King of Fighters ALLSTAR” — the new smartphone version of the classic beat-em-up game “The King of Fighters”, has announced an upcoming collaboration with Hideki Sorachi’s surreal space comedy “Gintama“! The collab will officially launch on 11th October 2018; check out the announcement video below!

“The King of Fighters” originated from developer SNK’s previous fighting game franchises “Fatal Fury” and “Art of Fighting”. The game has since see many incarnations, the latest of which is “The King of Fighters All Star”, which brings together all the characters of the series up to the “Tales of Ash” saga.

“Gintama” was first serialized in 2003, and revolves around the lives of the three employees of a jack-of-all-trades temp agency called “Yorozuya”: Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura. The popular series has spawned a long-running TV anime, several games, and live-action films.
