Craftar Studios has announced that they will be doing an all-original anime with an original story and new characters. Its title is Ashita Sekai ga Owaru Toshitemo (Even if the World Will End Tomorrow). They also revealed a new key visual featuring main characters Shin and Kotori.
The film will premiere on 25 January 2019, with Yuuhei Sakuragi (The Relative Worlds) directing it. They credited Craftar with the film’s original work, with Shochiku distributing it in Japan.
The film follows third year high school students, Shin and Kotori. Shin lost his mother, while Kotori, his childhood friend, looks out for him. However, one day, everything changes when another “self” from another Japan appears right in front of them.
Shochiku previously listed that they’re working with Craftar Studios on an original 3D anime film. Meanwhile, the studio has previously worked with Director Sakuragi on the Hulu-exclusive anime, The Relative Worlds.
