Japanese newspaper Nikkan Sports has reported that veteran seiyuu and sound director Kouji Tsujitani has now passed away. According to the report, his cause of death was stroke. He was 56-years-old.

The seiyuu suddenly collapsed in his home last 17th October, before passing away on the same day. A few days before, he debuted as a musician Fumihiko Tachiki as part of their new band, Tachiki Fumihiko to BLUSEED. He was apparently at good health during the performance during that day, which was 14th October. He is survived by his wife and fellow-seiyuu Kumiko Watanabe. They will hold a wake for him on 21st October before his funeral on 22nd October.

Gundam fans might know him best as the voice of Seabrook Arno in Mobile Suit Gundam F91. He also voiced Bernie Wiseman in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. His other iconic roles include Miroku in InuYasha and Solomon in Blood+. Aside from his work as a seiyuu, he’s also a well-known sound director. He has worked on several anime like Gurazeni, Freezing, and Fate/Stay Night as a sound director in fact. May he rest in peace.
