As previously reported last year (!!!), the upcoming “SaeKano” film finally gets a release window! Officially titled “Saenai Kanojo no Sodatekata Fine” (“SaeKano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fine”), the film will hit Japanese cinemas some time in Autumn 2019. While that playdate feels pretty far away, die-hard fans have already waited this long so a few more months wouldn’t make much of a difference.
“SaeKano” follows the life of Tomoya Aki, a high school otaku who dreams of creating his own visual novel to sell at Japan’s Comiket. He somehow manages to recruit his school’s most prominent beauties Eriri Spencer Sawamura and Utaha Kasumigaoka to design the art and write the scenario. However, he also recruits the lovely but inexplicably overlooked Megumi Kato to star as the novel’s heroine. Together they form “Blessing Software”, and begin to form warm yet complicated relationships with each other.
