We can’t believe it’s been a whole decade since the very first Anime Festival Asia! Join us for the tenth year of C3 AFA Singapore from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre! Delve into the fascinating history of one of I Love Anisong’s youngest and most exciting artistes — the talented Shiena Nishizawa!
Shiena Nishizawa is barely out of her teens, but she has already been playing guitar for close to a decade! In junior high, she learned to play with a second-hand guitar from her father. In 2014 while still in high school, she won the penultimate Grand Prix prize in the first FlyingDog Audition.
Shiena Nishizawa’s debut single “Fubuki” was the ending theme of the TV anime adaptation of the online game Kantai Collection. Her sophomore single was the double sided “Brand-new World / Piacere”, where the former was the first opening theme of TV anime “The Asterisk War”, while the latter was ending theme for the OVA “Aria the Avvenire”. Her third single was the eponymous “The Asterisk War”, which was is used as the second opening theme for the anime.
One of her more recent tracks is a collaboration with a popular anime is “Love Men Holic”, which is the ending song of the anime “Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles”. Finally, her newest double A-side single “Meteor/New Generation” have both been used as insert songs in the latest Shouji Kawamori title “Last Hope” (“Juushinki Pandora”).
