In Japan, the letter “G” can mean a lot of things, but two of the most iconic are definitely BIG. Of course, we’re talking about Gundam and Godzilla here, two gigantic Japanese pop culture icons. And as we previously reported, the two collaborated for a crossover visual featuring Godzilla, Ghidora, and a few mobile suits. Now, the collaboration has evolved into a full-blown video:

In the video, several mobile suits and their pilots try to take down the King of Monsters. Well, good luck with that guys! This is all to promote the two new Godzilla and Gundam films.

“Gundam NT” is the first completely new movie in MS Gundam UC’s twenty-seven year history. After the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, the conflict dubbed the “Laplace Incident” ended with the dissolution of the Neo Zeon remnant group “The Sleeves”. Both the Unicorn Gundam and the Banshee were sealed away, never to be seen again. One year later in U.C.0097, Unicorn Gundam 03 Phoenix suddenly reappears. In an effort to capture the rogue Mobile Suit, the Federation and Neo-Zeon decided to collaborate in a capture operation, known as “Phoenix Hunt”.

“Godzilla: Planet Eater” is the third and final film in Toho’s animated Godzilla trilogy. The first two films “Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters” and “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle” were released in Japan on 17th November 2017 and 18th May 2018 respectively. They were also released on international streaming service Netflix on 17th January 2018 and 18th July 2018. The films were written by Nitroplus’ Gen Urobuchi and star Mamoru Miyano, Takahiro Sakurai, Kana Hanazawa, Tomokazu Sugita, Yuki Kaji, and Junichi Suwabe.
