Get ready folks, because Netflix has announced that they’re doing a live-action Cowboy bebop series. It will have 10 episodes, with Thor scriptwriter Chris Yost writing the scripts. As for how it will adhere to the original, the Netflix series will have creator and director Shinichiro Watanabe as creative consultant.
Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t revealed any further details yet. As of now, we still don’t know who the cast members are, or even the series’ director. We also don’t know if this will have a new or original story, or will stick to the original TV anime’s beloved story.
The original TV anime follows Spike Spiegel and a motley crew of bounty hunters in space. It’s one of the most beloved anime in history, so you better believe fans aren’t gonna be so forgiving in Netflix would screw this one up.
