Some sad news for shounen fans, as the official Shounen Jump theme park has announced that it’s closing soon. Along with Namja Town and Pokemon Mega Center, J-World Tokyo has served as one of Sunshine City World Import Mart Building’s most popular attractions. But sadly, they will be closing their doors on 17 February 2019.

But fret not fans, because the theme park will be holding the “J-World Tokyo Grand Finale” event. It will happen from 17th December all the way to the day it closes. They will be giving away thank you stickers to the first 500 visitors, and they will feature 59 exclusive designs. Each one will also feature a popular Jump character like Kuroko Tetsuya, Naruto, Luffy, Goku, Gintoki, and many more.

And not only that, bet they will be offering their J-COS! cosplay room for free starting New Year’s Day. This means that visitors can rent costumes, wigs, and accessories (and even make-up) for free until the facility closes. However, this would be at a first-come-first-serve basis.

There’s still no official word as to why they’re closing though, but it has saddened many fans. The theme park has attracted many visitors, including foreigners from other countries. Through the years, it has hosted countless anime and manga events, and has done countless shows as well. Their restaurants even serve food which Shonen Jump has featured in its countless titles! And yes, these include all those mouth-watering things from Shokugeki no Soma.
