After her previous actress left showbiz to become a priestess for a cult, the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film has found a new Tohka in actress Maika Yamamoto. And now, the Tokyo Ghoul 2 staff have revealed a brand new still image for the film. It features actor Masataka Kubota reprising his role as Ken Kaneki. The image also features Yamamoto in costume as the new Tohka for the first time.

The sequel film will also be featuring Shota Matsuda as Shuu Tsukiyama. Meanwhile, the staff previously confirmed that Shunya Shiraishi is returning as Nishiki Nishio, while Kai Ogasawara is also returning as Hide Nagachika.

Tokyo Ghoul 2 will have its Japanese premiere on 19 July 2019. Unfortunately, they still haven’t confirmed any international release as of yet. The first film made its premiere during last year’s Anime Expo 2017 event before making its Japanese premiere. They also screened the film in Southeast Asia, including right here in Singapore!
