During the CCXP2018 event in Sao paolo, Brazil, Netflix has unveiled a new official trailer for the Saint Seiya: Knights of Zodiac anime. It’s a CG remake of the anime adaptation for Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya manga. It features an English dub with Japanese subtitles. Aside from the new trailer, they also revealed a new key visual featuring Pegasus Seiya himself!

The video reveals what Seiya’s Pegasus Meteor Fist technique will look like in the anime. It also reveals its summer 2019 launch on the global streaming service.

Toei Animation will be animating the 12-episode series, much like with what they did with the original. It will cover several arcs from the manga, starting with the Galaxian Wars, all the way to the Silver Saints arc. Each episode will be 30 minutes long. Here’s how Netflix describes the anime’s story:

Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya follows modern day adventures of young warriors called “Knights”, who are sworn protectors of the reincarnated Greek goddess Athena. Each Knights wears a powerful armor based on their chosen zodiac constellation, and are called Knights of the Zodiac. They aid Athena in her battle against powerful Olympian gods who are bent on destroying the humankind.

Cross Ange’s Yoshiharu Ashino will be directing the anime, with Diamond is Unbreakable’s Terumi Nishii designing the characters.
