From Dad God of War to Monster Hunter World to Spider-Man, 2018 was a great year for gaming. However, when it comes to mainstream appeal, Fortnite has a lot of other games beat. Sure, the game isn’t really has good as some of the big titles we mentioned above, but you can’t deny how popular it is last year. However, it seems that the game wasn’t as popular as many would say it is, at least for twitter that is.

According to the Twitter Blog itself, some Japanese mobile game managed to beet it in tweets. That Japanese mobile game? Fate/Grand Order!

While FGO took 1st and Fortnite 2nd, Monster Strike took 3rd place, while Splatoon took 4th. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Granblue Fantasy, Ensemble Stars, Super Smash Bros., Overwatch, and Final Fantasy rounded out the top 10 in that same order.

As for Fate/Grand Order’s win, one factor may be because twitter blog also named Japan as the country which tweets most about games. Coming in second is the United States at #2, and then the UK at #3. France and South Korea rounds out the Top 5.
