The sixth issue of Shonen Sunday magazine for 2016 has some sad news for all you Detective Conan fans out there. According to the manga’s announcement, it will be going on hiatus for four weeks. The hiatus will last from the magazine’s 7th issue until its 10th issue. It will then return on the tenth issue according to the announcement.

The magazine revealed that Aoyama is taking a break from his usual work to research something for the manga. And since this is Gosho Aoyama, know that he’s really working hard even if he’s on break.

He also did this for his previous hiatus last year, though that one lasted for about nine weeks. It lasted between September and November of 2017, which was also a research-related hiatus.
