Sunrise and Bandai Namco have a new special project in the works, and it involves Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans. To be exact, it’s an app which combines elements of anime and video games, titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: UrĂ°r-Hunt. They even released a brand new PV, along with a new key visual:

Set in the year P.D. 323, the same year as the anime, it will follow Wistario Afam, a boy from the Radonitsa Colony floating above Venus. Unfortunately, the conditions there are poor, and they’re using the colony as a makeshift prison. Wistario has heard of the Tekkadan’s exploits, and wants to change Radonitsa’s status. And one day, a girl who claims to be the guide to the UrĂ°r-Hunt runs into him. And then, mobile suits attack, leading him to activate the Gundam Hajiroboshi.

They have confirmed that much of the staff from the Iron-Blooded Orphans TV anime will return for this project.

Bandai Namco will release the app in the near future. It will be available for both iOS and Android platforms, and it will be free. However, there will still be a few in-app purchases in there as well. Expect them to announce more details soon enough.
