The success of SSSS.Gridman and the Godzilla anime trilogy has proven that tokusatsu series can indeed find success as anime. And now, Tsuburaya, Netflix and Production I.G. are finally animating Ultraman! In fact, they’re adapting Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s Ultraman manga. Now, we finally get more information for the series as they finally reveal Ultra Seven’s design:

In addition, they also revealed that OLDCODEX will be performing the anime’s theme song, “Sight Over The Battle.”

As for the staff, Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East, Napping Princess) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed, Harlock: Space Pirate, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars) are co-directing the anime over at Production I.G.. Tsuburaya will be supervising the project, while Netflix will stream it globally on 1st April 2019.
