The Emperor of Japan is one of the most revered people in the country. And as the days of Emperor Akihito is coming to an end, his son, Crown Prince Naruhito, is preparing to ascend to the Chrysanthemum Throne. But before that fateful day arrives to mark a new era of Japanese history, the Emperor is writing a song. To be exact, he’ll be writing the lyrics to the song, while his wife, Empress Michiko, is writing the lyrics. However, the big question is who will be having the burden of singing such an important song? Well, they chose Dragon Ball Super theme song singer, Daichi Miura, for the responsibility.

Miura will be singing the song on an event celebrating the Emperor’s 30-year reign. It will happen on 24th February, at the National Theatre of Japan in Tokyo. The burden is certainly on the 31-year-old singer and dancer, as both Imperials are adept at music. Emperor Akihito is a noted cellist, while the Empress has great talent on the piano. And yes, the honor of being the one to perform their song is one of the biggest things to happen in his career.

On 30 April 2019, the Emperor will officially abdicate the throne, and then Crown Prince Naruhito will take over. This will mark the end of Japan’s Heisei era, and will also be the beginning of a new one. And yes, it will probably mark a new generation of Kamen Riders as well.
