Lelouch is back in the new film, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection. The film recently premiered in Japan last weekend, and now, the staff revealed not one, but two new CMs! The first one is a standard one, teasing the story and the theme song, “REVIVE” by Unione. Meanwhile, the second one features the comedy duo NON STYLE talking about the franchise.

The anime’s staff also revealed an updated key visual. This one looks much like the previous visual, with the only difference being that it features Lelouch as Lelouch and not as Zero.

In addition, the staff confirmed that Leo Ieiri is performing the OP song, “Kono Sekai de”, while Unione is doing the ED theme, “Revive”. Meanwhile, Ali Project will be doing the insert song, “Utsukushiki Kemonotachi no Tame no”.

The film will be a stand-alone sequel to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and will feature a resurrected Lelouch. The staff have confirmed that this will actually be Lelouch and won’t be an alternate version or a clone. However, one must note that as of writing, they still haven’t announced Lelouch’s seiyuu, Jun Fukuyama, as part of the cast yet. The film takes place after the events of the Zero Requiem. It opened in 129 theatres across Japan on 19 February 2019.
