After a successful TV anime run, the prequel manga to Osamu Tezuka’s classic series, Young Black Jack, is nearing its end. According to Young Champion magazine’s 5th issue for 2019, Yuu-Go Ohkuma and Yoshiaki Tabata’s Young Black Jack manga is approaching its climax.

The magazine did not specify when it will end, but it confirmed that it’s approaching it. As for the manga, it returned from hiatus last year, as the two mangaka prepared for its latest arc.

Osamu Tezuka’s original manga follows a brilliant doctor who practices without even having a license. Its prequel manga, Young Black Jack, follows him as a medical student in the late 60’s. The original inspired several adaptations, while Ohkuma and Tabata’s prequel inspired a 2015 TV anime.
