Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress’s story continues with an upcoming sequel film titled Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato. And now, Fuji TV has revealed a brand new trailer for the upcoming anime film:

Fuji TV also revealed that the film will premiere in Japan on 10th May, though it will be a limited run of two weeks. They also revealed that Netflix and Amazon Prime will be streaming the film simultaneously in Japan simultaneously. Unfortunately, they did not reveal if this would also be for international audiences as well.

The film covers Mumei’s life after the events in the TV series. Main castmembers Tasuku Hatanaka, Sayaka Senbongi, Maaya Uchida, and Toshiki Masuda will be reprising their roles.

“Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” is an original anime series produced by Wit Studio, directed by Tetsuro Araki (“Guilty Crown”), written by Ichiro Okouchi (“Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”), with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano (“Attack on Titan”), and character designs by Haruhiko Minimoto (“The Super Dimension Fortress Macross”).
