During the recently-concluded AnimeJapan 2019 event, the Netflix booth dropped a huge bombshell. They announced that they’re planning a new project based on Shuuichi Asou’s The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. manga, and it will be a Netflix original!
Much like the first series, Hiroaki Sakurai will once again be directing the project. Netflix also confirmed that EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff will be co-producing the animation.
“The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.” is a Japanese gag manga series written and illustrated by Shuuichi Asou. Saiki Kusuo is a high school student who was born with all manner of psychic abilities, including telepathy, psychokinesis, teleportation, and more. Despite having all these powers, Saiki faces all kinds of hardships and tries to avoid attention as much as possible.
