As we approach April, people are getting more excited for the upcoming Ultraman TV anime. And to keep the hype train going, Netflix Japan just released a new video teasing a battle between Ultraman and Bemlar:

Here’s how Netflix describes the anime’s story:

Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary “Giant of Light” (光の巨人 Hikari no Kyojin) now a memory, as it is believed he returned home after fighting the many giant aliens that invaded the Earth. Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman.

Takuya Eguchi will be voicing Dan Moroboshi, who is of course Seven in the manga. He will be joining Ryohei Kimura(Shinjiro Hayata/Ultraman), Megumi Han (Seiji Hokuto), and Hideyuki Tanaka (Shin Hayata) as part of the anime’s cast.

As for the staff, Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East, Napping Princess) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed, Harlock: Space Pirate, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars) are co-directing the anime over at Production I.G.. Tsuburaya will be supervising the project, while Netflix will stream it globally on 1st April 2019.
