Back in 1998, Pokemon finally had its first feature-length film with Pokemon: The First Movie. Now, over 20 years later, they’re remaking the classic, but this time, it’s in 3D! And now, we finally get our first look at the film with its very first trailer:

Masachika Ichimura is reprising his role as Mewtwo, while the rest of the cast also reprise their roles. As for the film itself, the staff have revealed a brand new key visual, which teases the big battle between Mewtwo and Mew. They also announced the film’s 12th July release date as well.

Kunihiko Yuyama and Motonori Sakakibara will be co-directing the film over at Oriental Light and Magic (OLM) Digital, which will be producing its 3D animation.

So, what do you guys think of the new 3D looks for Ash and the gang?
