Gaming giant, Sega, recently held their “Phantasy Star Kanshasai 2019” event in Chiba last 10th March. During a stage presentation, they have announced that their hit MMO game, Phantasy Star Online 2, is getting a new TV anime! Its title is Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle, and they have now released a teaser visual:

According to the announcement, the new anime will be adapting the game’s first three episodes. However, they also revealed that it will be adding original story elements as well. It will debut sometime in 2019, and Sega promised to reveal more details soon.

This will be the second TV anime of the franchise, following 2016’s Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation. Unfortunately, it isn’t clear whether or not this new anime will be connected to the first one.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is now available to play via Windows PC, Android and iOS mobile devices, PS4, and PS Vita platforms. They also released a cloud version of the game for the Nintendo Switch as well. It received a 2016 TV anime, as well as various forms of other media, from collectible figures to manga.
