Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2019 is packed to the brim with matsuri-style activities, including festival games, merchandise, collectibles booths, and a variety of Japanese cuisines to savour — such as ramen, gyoza, and melonpan! Soak in the festive vibes and capture shots amongst the lovely blooms at Gardens by the Bay!

A key highlight — the Anisong Concert makes a rousing return to Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden.  This year’s anisong concerts boast of an exciting line-up of diverse anisong genres — from electronic dance music to evergreen theme songs! Let’s give it up for ASCA, Ayaka Ohashi, Hachioji P / KUMONOSU [Hachioji P x HANAE], Megumi Nakajima, and ReoNa!

ASCA

In November 2017, ASCA made a debut with her first single, KOE which was the second ending theme song of TV anime, Fate/Apocrypha.

In February 2018, she released the ending theme song of Record of Grancrest War, PLEDGE. Following that, her third single, RIN was released; it was also the opening theme song for the TV anime Record of Grancrest War.

This year on 27th February, her 4th single RESISTER will be released as the second opening theme song of Sword Art Online: Alicization. Come listen to this amazing young talent ASCA perform for the first time in Singapore at Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2019!

Ayaka Ohashi

Ayaka Ohashi is a Japanese voice actress and singer who has voiced many famous characters for TV anime and video games.

As a singer, she made her solo debut under the label Lantis in August 2014. Several of her single releases are also featured as theme songs for popular TV anime, including her most recent single, Highlight, the opening theme for the 2018 anime Operation Han-Gyaku-Sei Million Arthur, and her 7th single NOISY LOVE POWER☆ as the opening theme for the 2018 anime Magical Girl Ore.

Her notable roles include Aki Adagaki in Masamune-kun’s Revenge, Ran Shibuki in Aikatsu!, Saya Yamabuki in BanG Dream!, and Uzuki Shimamura in THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls. Come show your support for the lovely and talented Ayaka Ohashi at the concert!

Hachioji P / KUMONOSU [Hachioji P x HANAE]

Dubbed as the Prince of Vocaloid Music on Japan’s most popular video sharing site niconico, Hachioji P is an internationally recognised music creator, remixer, and DJ of Vocaloid music. His exceptional music videos featuring original dance music have garnered over 10 million views.

His first major album electric love debuted on the Japanese Oricon Chart (equivalent to the American Billboards) at 11th in 2012, and 8th on the Taiwanese charts. Hachioji P has also collaborated with famous creators such as kz of livetune, Shouko Nakagawa, Hikari Shiina, Yuu Kikkawa, Mayu Watanabe (AKB48), and Aya Hirano.

He has played at huge festivals such as Rock in Japan, Hatsune Miku Expo in the USA, and Hatsune Miku’s 10th anniversary in Asia. Megumi Nakajima

After winning the top prize at Victor Vocal & Voice Audition in 2007, Megumi made her debut as a voice actor and a singer with the TV animation Macross Frontier. In the series she played the role of Ranka Lee, and sang many songs including Seikan Hikou, which went to 5th place on Japan’s Oricon Singles Chart, as well as releasing an album with songs from Macross Frontier which obtained  2nd place.

She started to release songs under her name with the single Tenshi ni naritai in 2009, and also won a prize for the best singer category in the 3rd Seiyu Awards the same year. She released the album Watashi no Sekai, the ending theme song for the TV anime Fuuka in February 2017, and Saturday Night Question, the opening theme song to the TV anime Recovery of an MMO Junkie in October 2017.

On Valentine’s Day of 2018, her 4th album Curiosity was released. To mark her 10th anniversary of her debut, a cover mini album Lovely Time Travel was released in January 2019.  Let’s groove to the memorable tunes of one of Japan’s top anisong artistes at Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2019!

Megumi Nakajima – Nyan Nyan Service Medley

She was the singing voice behind Elza Kanzaki, a character featured in the TV anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. Under the name “Elza Kanzaki starring ReoNa”, the mini album ELZA was released in July 2018, and peaked at 8th place on the Japanese Oricon Chart. On the digital download front, she was the top new artiste in Japanese streaming service Rekochoku 2018 annual ranking.

Following that she had her solo debut in August 2018, releasing SWEET HURT — which was used as the ending theme song for the TV anime Happy Sugar Life, which aired in July 2018. With her unique serene way of performing, her first solo concert in October 2018 was sold out quickly. She is also embarking on her first solo concert tour ReoNa Live Tour 2019 “Wonder 1284” from February 2019.

ReoNa has also been selected to perform the 2nd ending theme song to Sword Art Online; Alicization. Titled forget-me-not, the single was released on 6th February 2019.
