The official Noitamina YouTube channel has started streaming the latest trailer for the upcoming Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato film. It confirms the film’s 10th May premiere via theatres in Japan, as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The Netflix run will just be for two weeks, the same time frame as the theatrical run. The same goes for Amazon Prime as well. However, both services will then remove the film after that. Unfortunately, they did not reveal if this is just for Japan or if they would also do this as an international release, like they did with most anime.

The film covers Mumei’s life after the events in the TV series. Main cast members Tasuku Hatanaka, Sayaka Senbongi, Maaya Uchida, and Toshiki Masuda will be reprising their roles.

“Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress” is an original anime series produced by Wit Studio, directed by Tetsuro Araki (“Guilty Crown”), written by Ichiro Okouchi (“Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”), with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano (“Attack on Titan”), and character designs by Haruhiko Minimoto (“The Super Dimension Fortress Macross”).
