Mobile Suit Gundam is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and they have already done a lot of collaborations so far. Their latest one is with watchmaker Seiko, which is releasing three watches inspired by the franchise.

The Gundam Limited Edition uses the Seiko Prospex LX line of watches. It costs 630,000 yen, and will be limited to only 30 watches. Seiko will release them on 9th August.

Meanwhile, Seiko is releasing two Zaku variants. One would use Char Aznable’s signature red, while the other is the iconic “mass-produced” green variant. Unfortunately, the Char version isn’t 3x faster.

Each watch costs 400,000 yen, and the company is releasing 1,000 watches for each of the two variants. They will then release both colours on 12th April 2019.

So far, Gundam has announced several collaborations for its 40th anniversary already. This includes a very surprising crossover with Hello Kitty! Expect Sunrise to reveal more soon enough.
