The Rising of the Shield Hero is one of the hottest and most talked about anime today. It’s based on Aneko Yusagi’s hit light novels series, as well as the manga adaptation by Aiya Kyuu. The anime was such a hit that both light novel and manga adaptations now have 6.2 million copies in print! And to celebrate the milestone, Kadokawa Anime has released a special video:

Filo (Rina Hidaka) and Melty (Maaya Uchida) narrate the video, and they announce the fact that the series has reached 6.2 million copies in circulation already. It also promotes the release of the manga’s 13th volume, which hits the stands on 23rd April.

Back in February, the series announced that the manga and light novels had four million copies in print. This means that in just two months, they printed an additional 2.2 million. Well, that’s just proof that people are really rooting for you, Naofumi!
