Kunihiko Ikuhara, the director behind Revolutionary Girl Utena and Penguindrum, is known for his weird-yet-wonderful anime works. Now, he’s back with a new anime about Kappa titled Saranzanmai. And in addition, a new exhibition will be celebrating his work as a director as well. They even released a new visual featuring Utena, Penguindrum, Yurikuma Arashi, and Sarazanmai:

The event will feature artworks and production materials from his anime, and it will happen from 27th April until 6th May 2019. In addition, Ikuhara himself will be in attendance on 5th May for an autograph session. He will also be appearing in a talk show to talk about his latest work, Sarazanmai.

The exhibition is titled Kunihiko Ikuhara Exhibition -The Survival Strategy of Desire and Revolution That Connects Us-. It will be taking place at the Tokyo Solamachi’s Space 634. Expect plenty of anime merchandise from Ikuhara’s works to also be on sale during the event.
