Yes folks, we’re getting yet another new anime about legendary Sengoku period figure, Oda Nobunaga. Its title is Kochouki: Wakaki Nobunaga. This time, it will focus on a younger version of him, and Happinet has just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming anime:

The new trailer revealed that the new anime will premiere sometime in July 2019 via Tokyo MX, AT-X, and various other Japanese channels, as well as several online streaming services. They also revealed that May’n will be performing the ED theme song, “Kiba no Tsubasa,” while the main male cast members will be performing the OP song, “Shissou”.

The anime will be reuniting the staff of the Hakuouki anime franchise. This would include character designer Atsuko Nakajima, script supervisor Ryota Yamaguchi, and scriptwriter Megumu Sasano. Meanwhile, The Heroic Legend of Arslan’s Noriyuki Abe will be directing the series over at Studio DEEN. The cast will include:

  • Junya Enoki as Takigawa Kazumasu
  • Kaito Ishikawa as Oda Nobuyuki
  • Makoto Takahashi as Sassa Narimasa
  • Manami Numakura as Ohana
  • Minori Suzuki as Ikoma Kitsuno
  • Nao Touyama as Oichi
  • Satoshi Hino as Tsuzuki Kurando
  • Shinnosuke Tachibana as Takugen Souon
  • Takuma Terashima as Maeda Toshiie
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Murai Sadakatsu
  • Yuuma Uchida as Ikeda Tsuneoki
  • Yumiri Hanamori as Kichou

The anime would follow a young Oda Nobunaga in his youth, as well as his rivalry with brother Nobukatsu.
