P.A. Works’ Fairy Gone is one of the more exciting anime this season. And now, the staff have revealed that it will be running for two cours, which is two seasons. Unfortunately, this won’t be one continuous 24-episode season, as they’re splitting the anime between this spring season and the autumn season, with the second part premiering in October.

The staff also revealed that those who buy the first volume of the Blu-ray release will also get to watch episodes 13-15 early. This is because they will be hosting the screening event for the first three episode of the second cour on 29th September. Members of the cast will be attending the screening, and those who pre-ordered the Blu-ray get priority to purchase tickets for the event.

While P.A. Works is animating Fairy Gone, Cells at Work’s Kenichi Suzuki is directing it. Here’s how Funimation, which streams the anime out west, describes the anime:

From the director of Drifters, and the creator behind Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, comes a war-torn world on the brink of calamity. Able to summon fairies as alter-ego weapons, former soldiers become government dogs, mafia members, and even terrorists in search of purpose beyond the battlefield. Who will maintain the peace they all fought for nine years ago?

The cast includes

  • Kana Ichinose as Marlya Noel
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Free Underbar
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Lily Heineman
  • Ayaka Fukuhara as Veronica Thorn
  • Ayaka Suwa as Clara Kisenaria
  • Eizou Tsuda as Lay Dawn
  • Hiroki Touchi as Jet Grave
  • Hisao Egawa as Beevee Risker
  • Houchu Ohtsuka as Marco Bellwood
  • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Jonathan Paspierre
