Last month, My Hero Academia and The Irregular at Magic High School seiyuu, Saki Ogasawara, shocked fans when she revealed that she has tongue cancer. However, she’s now fighting back against her ailment, as she seeks to undergo medical treatment.

To fight her cancer, she announces that she must go on hiatus to undergo surgery. She does promise that she will get back to work and “send out her voice” to her fans as soon as possible.

Ogasawara is staying positive with her outlook on her illness and is very thankful for her cancer being discovered early. Doctors diagnosed her with stage 1 cancer last month.

Fans might know her as Itsuka Kendou from My Hero Academia, as well as Azusa Nakajou from The Irregular at Magic High School. She also voices Akane Nonohara in the The iDOLM@STER Million Live smartphone game, and even performed during THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! 6thLIVE TOUR UNI-ON@IR!!!! Angel STATION 2 live concert event last April, shortly after her diagnosis. We wish her well on her treatment. Get well soon Ogasawara-san!
