I LOVE ANISONG Matsuri Malaysia will be happening on the 8th and 9th of June 2019 at Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur! In preparation for the event happening this weekend, we managed to snag an exclusive pre-interview with Mashiro Ayano you can check right here!

Is this your first time to Malaysia? What do you think of Kuala Lumpur?

Mashiro: This will be my first time coming to Malaysia, so I’m really excited.

Other than the Live, I’m looking forward to try out as many of Malaysia’s food and checking out the wonderful buildings as I can.

Do you have any places you want to go in particular?

I want to visit the Petronas Twin Towers and If I am able to, walk around and eat all the food I can at Jalan Alor it would be amazing.

What was your musical influences growing up?

I listen to a lot of Japanese rock, and I actually grew up in a small village so my classmates and I usually share the same taste in music. That’s why I feel that music is an important form of uniting people together.

Going towards your 5th year after your debut, what’s your aims this year?

To stock up lots of knowledge and experience.

I have yet to tour certain parts of Japan nor have I done solo Lives around Asia yet so I’d like to broaden my perspectives and meet lots of people. Also through Mashiro Ayano’s songs, I want to give people the energy to Live and a place to belong.

You released a digital single in October last year titled GLAMOROUS SKY. Please tell us more about it.

It’s actually a bible of my youth, Nana. I’m very honored to be able to do a cover of GLAMOROUS SKY. It’s a song that has many people’s dream inside so the pressure is huge. I covered it with respect to the original artiste and at the same time give a Mashiro Ayano flavour to it so I’d be glad if you gave it a listen.

You recently performed a 2-day solo Live titled “Mashiro Ayano One Man Live 2019 ID fourth spring” How was it?

I was able to experience something new, and it’s became an unforgettable Live for me. Later this August 10th I’ll have another new solo Live, and with the announcement of my new single GETOVER scheduled to be released on July 17th, I hope to add the energy of my new song to this upcoming Live!

What is “So Japan” to you?

It’s definitely Anime. Anisong is an amazing form of music that spawned from the Japanese Anime that we are proud of! If it’s food, Sushi. I’d highly recommend eating Sushi in Japan itself.

Please tell us what we can expect from your Live on 8th June.

I’ll definitely sing many anime theme songs that day. Please sing it with me! Other than those, I’ve prepared many songs that will be really easy to enjoy during a Live so I hope you’re excited for that!

You will begin your summer Live in August this year at Shirokane Takanawa in Tokyo. What can we expect from that?

I won’t be doing a tour in August but I’ll be doing lots of Lives! I will be focusing summer’s solo Live to one day and we are working very hard to prepare a great fun time to the people who will be attending it later this year.

I’ll be singing at lots of other events in the summer too so I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

I was very looking forward to performing in Malaysia! Since we’re doing a Live in Malaysia, let’s make it an exciting time together!! I can’t wait to meet you all in Malaysia.
