When he was a child, gaming legend Satoshi Tajiri loved catching and collecting bugs. This childhood pastime would later inspire him to create one of the greatest video game franchises of all time, Pokemon! And now, they’re releasing a special Pokeball just for those real-life bug catchers out there.
Japanese metalworkers from Castem made the Pokeball bug cage, and it works just like a Pokeball. By pressing the white button at the center, the cage will open and it can hold your captured insects. It’s great for kids who love the classic Japanese pastime of bug hunting.
Catem is selling the cages for 1,300 yen, and they will be releasing it on Saturday, 15th June. It can hold all sorts of bugs, from the majestic Rhino and Stag beetles to various caterpillars.
