The second part of Attack on Titan Season 3 finally aired its final episode, and it ended with a huge announcement. The staff revealed that the TV anime adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga will be having a “Final Season”. It will happen sometime in autumn 2020.

The manga itself is currently in its final arc, and Isayama has reportedly finished the draft for its final chapter. He also promised that the manga itself will end in a year or two. And as the “Final Season” will still be airing in autumn next year, there’s over a year’s worth of time to catch up with the manga’s story. NHK General will be airing the Final Season in Japan.

So, how do you think the manga will end? Can the anime catch up? Will it be able to adapt all the story that’s still not covered? Well, we might find out soon enough. They might even pull a “split-cour” just like season 3 to really catch up with the manga.
