The staff and cast of Kemono Friends recently held the “Kemono Friends Party” event at the Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba Prefecture last weekend. And during the event, they revealed that the stage adaptation will be having a third run this autumn, and it will be the biggest run yet.

According to the announcement, a total of 20 Friends will be appearing for the third play. This will be the largest cast for the Kemono Friends play yet. And remember, the seiyuu from the anime are the ones who are also appearing in the plays for their characters.

Nelke Planning, which produced the first two plays, will be returning for the production of the third one. Unfortunately, the cast and staff weren’t revealed during the event.

Yuka Ozaki, whose breakout role as Serval in Kemono Friends made her a star, reprised her role from the anime in both stage productions. Her fellow Doubutsu Biscuits members, Saki Ono and Kana Motoyama, also starred in the plays as Raccoon and Fennec respectively. The franchise’s in-world idol unit, PPP, also reprised their roles for the two plays as well. PPP comprises of Mikoi Sasaki as Royal Penguin, Ruka Nemoto as Emperor Penguin, Kyouka Tamura as Gentoo Penguin, Aina Aiba as Rockhopper Penguin, and Ikuko Chikuta as Humboldt Penguin. Here is the poster for the second play:

Expect the staff to reveal more details about the play very soon.
