The Netflix official website has revealed that the global streaming platform is planning a new documentary. However, this one will be focusing on the Japanese animation industry, and its title is “Enter the Anime”.

They list it as a “Social and Cultural Documentary” in its tag, and describe the story as:

What is anime? Through deep-dives with notable masterminds of this electrifying genre, this fast-paced documentary seeks to find the answers.

The documentary will run for 58 minutes and will even feature some pretty big names. As of writing, they have listed Kozo Morishita (Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya executive producer), Yoko Takahashi (Neon Genesis Evangelion opening song), and Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 co-directors). It is listed for release for Japan and the United States on 5th August. No listing yet for Southeast Asia, unfortunately.
