The Sega MMORPG, Phantasy Star Online 2, is getting a new TV anime titled Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle. And now, the staff have revealed new details for the upcoming TV series, and that includes the fact that it will have a run of 25 episodes. They also unveiled a brand new key visual which also announces the anime’s October 2019 release window.

Tokyo MX and BS11 will be airing the new anime in Japan. Meanwhile, they also announced the cast as well:

  • Daisuke Ono as Ash
  • Hiro Shimono as Afin
  • Satomi Satou as Matoi
  • Megumi Ogata as Xion
  • Ryohei Kimura as Zeno
  • Yōko Hikasa as Echo
  • Takahiro Sakurai as Luther
  • Nobuo Tobita as Gettemhart
  • Kana Hanazawa as Melphonshina

Masaki Tachibana (Princess Principal) will be directing the new anime, with GONZO producing the animation, Meanwhile, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’s Hiroshi Ohnogi will be writing the scripts, alongside alongside Shigeru Morita and Bunsei Asanuma. Shinpei Koikawa is the anime’s character designer.

This will be the second TV anime for the MMORPG, the first being Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation, which had a 12-episode run in 2015. This new anime will be adapting “Episodes 1-3” of the game, as well as also featuring an original story.
