The Guinness Book of World Records will be featuring one particular Japanese anime collector in their new Guinness Book of World Records 2020 book. That man is Hitoshi Uchida, who now owns the World Record for the largest Dragon Ball collection. His collection has 10,098 individual items, and that includes various figures, Gatcha items, clothing, and of course, a life-size Goku statue.

Uchida started out collecting Dragon Ball memorabilia and merchandise as a kid. However, as he reached middle school, he found ways to hide that he’s still collecting Dragon Ball merch. But when he started working at age 20, he freely and proudly showed off his collection to other people.

Uchida has been so dedicated to his collection that he even quit his job for it. To be exact, he quit his job to pursue the world record, which he actually accomplished. His next dream is to meet Goku’s seiyuu, Masako Nozawa, and hopes setting the World Record might set up a meeting between the two of them.
