KONOSUBA: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson will be premiering in August. And as a tie-in to the new film. Tokyo-based ice cream chain, Roll Ice Cream Factory, is offering new flavours inspired by two of the anime’s characters.

KONOSUBA Roll Ice Mint” takes inspiration from the useless water goddess Aqua. It’s topped with Blue Hawaii-flavoured Kirakira marshmallows, as well as crackers, flower wafers, and candy sprinkles.

Meanwhile, the “KONOSUBA Roll Ice Strawberry” is inspired by Megumin. It has similar toppings to the Mint version, but its marshmallow comes with mango flavour instead. Don’t worry, the Aqua ice cream won’t make you useless, and the Megumin ice cream won’t explode.

The ice cream chain is selling them for 950 yen each. They’re also only available for a limited time, until 23rd September.

As for KonoSuba the Movie, it will premiere on 30th August. It will adapt the Crimson Demon arc from the light novels, which centre on the explosive little Archmage, Megumin. Unfortunately, Michael Bay isn’t the one directing the film, because he would make her explosions so awesome…

The cast of the TV anime adaptation Jun Fukushima, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, Ai Kayano, Yui Horie, and Aki Toyosaki will be reprising their roles.

Much of the other support characters are also returning with their respective seiyuu as well.

The biggest change will be the production studio, as the film will be done by JC Staff (the anime TV series was done by Studio Deen). And while the anime has a new studio, Takaomi Kanasaki returns to direct the anime movie. With Makoto Uezo also coming back to write the scripts and Koichi Kikuta as character designer.
