The studio behind Happy Sugar Life, Ezo’la, is back with a new anime. This time, they’re adapting Kotoba Inoya’s Smile Down the Runway (Runway de Waratte) manga into a TV anime. They also revealed a brand new PV, as well as a new key visual:

The manga follows Chiyuki Fujito, who will be voiced by Yumiri Hanamori. She dreams of becoming a Paris Collection model, though she is kinda short to become one. But then she meets Ikuto Tsumura, voiced by Natsuki Hanae. He is an aspiring fashion designer, but he is quite poor and might not make it into the industry. Together, they try to pursue their fashion dreams, despite their shortcomings.

The anime itself will premiere sometime in January 2020. Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Happy Sugar Life) is directing, while Fruits Basket chief animation director Misaki Kaneko is handling the character designs. Expect the staff to reveal more details for the anime soon enough.
