Get ready ladies, because a new Boys’ Love (BL) anime has been green-lit! This time, it adapts another arc from Shungiku Nakamura’s The World’s Greatest First Love: The Case of Ritsu Onodera manga. This new anime celebrates the 5th anniversary of Kadokawa’s Emerald magazine, which also serialises the manga.

Here is the new anime’s key visual:

The anime’s title is The World’s Greatest First Love: Proposal Arc, and from the title, I think you guys can guess which arc it adapts. Unfortunately, we still don’t know the format of this new anime, so we don’t know if it’s an OVA, a film, an ONA, or a TV anime.

The manga follows newbie manga editor Ritsu Onodera and his editor-in-chief, Masamune Takano, who seems to have a past together with Onodera. The manga launched in The Ruby magazine in 2006, before moving to Asuka Ciel in 2009. It then found a new home in Emerald magazine in 2014. It previously inspired two TV anime adaptations in 2011, as well as a couple of OVAs.
