The story of Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba continues with a feature-length animated film. And now, they have revealed that its official English title is DEMON SLAYER – KIMETSU NO YAIBA – The Movie: Mugen Train. They also revealed a the film’s very first trailer as well:

Is it just me, or is Innosuke just having too much fun? The film has a huge focus on the flame Hashira, Kyoujurou Rengoku, and the trailer also features him quite heavily.

Haruo Sotozaki will be returning to direct the anime over at ufotable, so expect some beautiful animations. Meanwhile, Akira Matsushima is also returning as character designer, and so is the main cast:

  • Akari Kitou as Nezuko Kamado
  • Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke Hashibira
  • Satoshi Hino as Kyoujurou Rengoku

This new film premieres in 2020. Here’s how Aniplex describes the anime’s story:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
