The crossover you never thought would happen is getting itself an official fan event. It will happen inside the the Sanrio Puroland theme park on 22nd March 2020, with Amuro Ray himself, Tohru Furuya, attending.

The event will feature a talk show, as well as present what has now happened in the battle between Hello Kitty and the RX-78-2 Gundam. They will also hold a popularity contest between the two sides, and it will determine which side’s pledges will be implemented in Sanrio Puroland. For Gundam, it will be a Gundam-themed popcorn vending machine, while Hello Kitty’s side will pledge a Hello Kitty GunPla design. They will announce the results around mid-January.

Fans can build up their project points from their Gundam vs. Hello Kitty LINE account by purchasing certain items from participating polls in order to join the event. The 500 people with the most points from either side will be joining the event, and they will tally them all in December.

They dub it as a “showdown project” which will include various events, both in real life and online. Of course, there will be collab merchandise and even a REAL Escape Game by SCRAP.
