Kouhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga is getting a new anime film, which will have a brand new original story not found in the source material. And now, the staff have now revealed a brand new trailer for the film, as well as a new visual:

The new video also previews the new theme song by sumika, which is titled “Higher Ground”.

The film itself will premiere on 20th December, with much of the TV anime’s cast returning to the film. Tomoyo Kurosawa and Yuka Terasaki will also be joining the cast as Mahiro (left) and Katsuma (right) respectively. The two are young siblings who Deku meets in the anime’s setting, Nabu Island.

While the film has an original story, Horikoshi himself is supervising it. In fact, he’s also serving as the film’s character designer. Other staff members include director Kenji Nagasaki and scriptwriter Yousuke Kuroda. BONES will be animating the new film, much like the TV anime.
