In just a few weeks, Nintendo will finally release the new Pokemon Sword and Shield games. And to whet fans’ appetite, as well as hit them with nostalgia, the Pokemon YouTube channel has released a brand new trailer. It takes a look at the history of Pokemon, from the original Red, Blue, and Green games to Sword and Shield:

Right in the nostalgia, huh? It features some old school portable consoles like the Game Boy, the game Boy Advance, the Nintendo DS, and of course, the 3DS. As for the Switch, this would be the second main line game for the console, right after Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

The new features for Sword and Shield include Dynamax battles, as well as the Battle Stadium. The latter lets trainers from all over the world battle one another, though they need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to use that feature. As for Dynamax, it makes your Pokemon bigger and it also unlocks new abilities for your Pokemon.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will be released worldwide on November 15, 2019. It will be exclusive for the Nintendo Switch.
