Opp has released a new version of their flagship phone, the Reno Ace, and it celebrates the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam. It pays homage to the original RX-78-2 Gundam with the white, blue, red and yellow colours, which can also be found in the phone’s own charger.

Like the normal version of the Reno Ace, this new Gundam phone alos boasts the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 feature which charges its 4,000mAh battery in just 30 minutes. It also has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 90Hz AMOLED screen (6.5 inches, 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, “waterdrop” notch), in-display fingerprint reader, a 48-megapixel main camera (but f/1.7 instead of f/1.6), UFS 3.0 fast storage and stereo speakers. The Gundam version has only 256GB storage and with just 8GB RAM though.

The Gundam version costs 3,599 yuan, 400 yuan more than the normal version. Pre-orders start on 21st October, and will get its release on 11th November.

And speaking of Gundam, Gundam.info is now streaming the first two episodes of Gundam Build Divers: Re:Rise. This is free and legal, so watch it now via YouTube:

Here’s how Gundam.info describes the new anime’s story:

Two years have passed since the adventures of the Build Divers, and the upgraded GBN has become even more exciting. Hiroto is a Diver who wanders alone through the Dimension. Kazami is a frivolous, independent Diver. May is a solo Diver. And Parviz is a lonely novice Diver. Each of them is alone, but the course of events will end up uniting them into a new team of Build Divers. What awaits Hiroto and the others is a boundless super-experience that far transcends GBN.
