Japanese movie news site, Eiga.com, has recently released last weekend’s Japanese box office rankings. As expected, Joker remained on top, with Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil debuting at #2. However, a few anime films have also made the list. Ranking highest among them is Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fine, taking in the #4 spot, while Star☆Twinkle PreCure The Movie: Putting Thought into the Star Song dropped from #3 to #6. Finally, Her Blue Sky dropped from #7 to #10 this week.

Here are the results for this weekend:

1 (1). “Joker” – 3.53 billion yen

2 (new). “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” – 770 million yen

 3 (4). “Sekai kara Kibou ga Kieta nara” – 400 million yen

 4 (new). “Gemini Man” – 185 million yen

 5 (new). “Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fine” – 130 million yen

 6 (3). “Star☆Twinkle PreCure The Movie: Putting Thought into the Star Song” – 370 million yen

 7 (5). “The Bucket List” (Japanese remake) – 600 million yen

 8 (8). “Yesterday” – 400 million yen

 9 (6). “Kioku ni Gozaimasen!” – 3.4 billion yen 

 10 (7). “Her Blue Sky” – 400 million yen 

But while Saekano Fine only debuted at #5, the film did better in the satisfaction rankings. Pia has now released their “First Day Satisfaction Rankings,” and Saekano took the #1 spot.
