Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is getting a new live-action film adaptation, and yes, Kento Yamazaki is in it. And now, the staff have released a brand new teaser. This new video confirms the film’s 7th February premiere, as well as introduces new cast members in Kento Kaku, Tsuyoshi Muro, and Jiro Sato:

The live-action Death Note series’ Kento Yamazaki will be playing the gamer Hirotaka. Meanwhile, playing his fujoshi childhood friend Narumi is Napping Princess’s Mitsuki Takahata. The main cast will also feature Nanao as the fujoshi cosplayer, Hanako Koyonagi, as well as Takumi Saitou as the anime otaku and Hanako’s boyfriend, Tarou Kabakura.

Live-action Gintama’s Yuuichi Fukuda will be directing the film. It will open in Japan on 7 February 2020. The film will follow the lives of four otaku. Hirotaka, a gamer, is reunited with his childhood friend, Narumi, who is a gamer, when the office he works for hires her. Meanwhile, their officemates, Hanako and Kabakura, are secretly dating one another.
